Some may say piercings are used for attention, to claim uniqueness, or to accentuate a certain body part but what is undeniable is the fact that piercings have been used as fashion statements. Celebrities like Scarlett Johansson, Drew Barrymore, and Fergie have used piercings to capture fan's attention and to spark up media gossip. Celebrities like these have the power to inspire ordinary people like us to get pierced up and claim our own individuality.

MET BALL

The Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum held their famous Met Ball last night with hundreds of models, celebrities and designers in tow. This event allowed showcased hundreds of  creative and glamorous looks for those who really care about fashion. It was even deemed the Oscars of the east coast (but better) for their remarkable ball gowns. The ball was dedicated to none other than the late great Alexander McQueen.

FEELIN' LIKE YEEZY

Kanye West - full time rapper, part time fashionista. 

Best known for his unique mix of retro, prep-school style and hip hop swagger, Kanye West is constantly on the cutting edge of fashion, pushing the boundaries of hip-hop couture. Although most may know Kanye West for his controversial antics, I've always noticed his one-of-a-kind style complete with satin blazers, suits and crisp dress shirts, futuristic high tops, and 70's-80's inspired sportwear. The exlcusive limited edition line will be sold at the Colette boutique in Paris, France and online at www.mmparis.com with a highly anticipated price-point. If Kanye's self-proclaimed "passion for flashin'" is any indicator of how much the scarves will go for, I'd say you better start saving up if you want to start dressing like Yeezy.
