KIM KARDASHIAN ENGAGED
So usually I'd blog about fashion related issues and trends, but I just had to share this one with the world. Kim Kardashian is engaged! Recently she announced her engagement to Kris Humphries, a basketball player for the New Jersey Nets. Kind of weird, right? Marrying someone with the same name, and spelling as your mom? But who cares about that when he is giving her a 20.5-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring! This ring is estimated to cost around two million dollars. The couple has been rumored to be dating for about 18 months before Kris got down on one knee in a bedroom filled with roses spelling "Will you marry me?". I can't wait to find updates on her wedding plans, especially what designer will be designing her wedding dress. Congrats to Kim & Kris!
CHANEL KICKS OFF CANNES
Chanel kicked off the Cannes Film Festival with the 2011-2012 Cruise Collection. Most of the guests at the event wore the classic colors of Chanel, black and white. While the models strutted down the runway in creamy silk pleated dresses and bedazzled pencil skirt suits. Karl Lagerfeld of Chanel, stated, "This is about the women of Cannes, women who mix bathing suits with real pearls and diamonds. After all, you can't wear fakes into the water." And he is absolutely right. Here are a few pictures of the Chanel collection and of the outfits worn by celebrity attendees.

MISSONI FOR TARGET
I love Target designer collaborations. What's next for Target this year? Missoni. Missoni knitwear is known for its multitude of patterns such as stripes, geometrics, and abstract floral, all in different kinds of colors. The iconic Italian fashion house based in Varese is promising to create over 400 pieces of women, men, kids, and even home goods. The collection will be released in Target stores everywhere on September 13, 2011. What better way to go back to school shopping? If you never heard of Missoni before, here are a few of their pieces on our favorite celebrities.

Hate having to carry that big technology block called the iPhone in one hand and your wallet in the other? Or dragging your purse around the dance floor? Well now, there's a solution for that. Michael Kors, renowned fashion designer and judge on Project Runway, recently released this totally cute iphone clutch/wristlet. The wristlet fits both Verizon ( iPhone 4) and AT&T iPhone 4, 3GS, and 3G designs. The idea of a multi-functional wristlet is brilliant! Not only is it chic and classic, but it also makes going out a lot easier. The clutch has 3 credit card or ID slots and a slot specifically made to fit your phone. SOS: STRAPS ON SHOES
As spring has arrived, I am in dying need for some spring shopping, especially for shoes. When scrolling through various pages and websites I found myself gearing toward heels with straps. I love the style and uniqueness of strappy heels compared to the regular open/closed toed pumps that we see so often. Even London Fashion Week conned that strappy heels are the must have shoes for this spring and summer. Here are a few that I find super awesome:

LC IS BACK!

We all remember LC, also known as Lauren Conrad, from the hit reality series The Hills and Laguna Beach. Well now she's about to release another reality series based on her life. From a vogue article LC states that this show will be more based on her career than the fame that The Hills and Laguna Beach brought her. Furthermore, there won't be any cameos of her new loverboy Kyle Howard. This time the focus will be more around her job, as opposed to The Hills which focused on the drama in her life.

SOCK GARTERS
I know we all think of garters as accessories girls wear for special occasions such as: weddings, formals, etc. But Swan Clothing just came out with a whole bunch of cute garters to be attached to any sock of your choice. LANVIN FOR H & M
For all the Lanvin lovers out there, I come with good news! H&M has announced on September 2, 2010 that Lanvin will be the guest designer for H&M's Winter 2010 collection. According to H&M's website, the collection will be released on their website (www.hm.com) on November 4, 2010, and will be featured in 200 stores through out the U.S. on November 23, 2010. This collection will be designed by Lanvin's artistic director, Alber Elbaz and will feature both womenswear and menswear. H&M wrote on their website that "Lanvin will bring to H&M a luxurious French tradition that is also modern and playful." I can't wait to sneak a peak at the collection, and see how many fans will line up on November 23, 2010! To watch the promo for the collection click the image below!
