THE ROYAL WEDDING: KATE'S DRESS

If anyone stayed up to watch the Royal Wedding this early, early morning, then you saw what everyone was wondering for the last couple months: Kate's wedding dress. Who designed it? Rumors were right on point with Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen, being the designer of the wedding dress.

Remember my post a couple months ago, Designers Sketch for Kate? Well, what do you think of Sarah Burton's design? I personally think she looks beautiful and fit for royalty, but a modern one at that, especially because of the v-neck line, and since some had speculated she would tribute to the late Princess Diana's wedding dress (with respect, thank god she didn't though because 3-feet wide puff sleeves are not in anymore!). The dress, a high-waisted, full subtle embroidered skirted silhouette body, with a lace long-sleeve wrap, was very reminiscent of, and Kate's tribute to, Grace Kelly's wedding dress in 1956, when she married the Prince of Monaco. Her train was also about 6-feet long.

With royalty  and celebrity guests, like Elton John and the Beckhams, William and Kate's wedding was watched by billions. Congratulations to the happy couple!
