WEARING THE PANTS

Perhaps skinny pants still have a long life left in fashion, but I have always admired the the wide legged pant look.  When styled right, it can add the perfect amount of glamor and interest to you outfit.  Wide legged pants may not be for everyone, which is probably why it has yet to become a dominant style to conquer on the streets.  Although it may not be a staple in your closet just yet, don't overlook this trend as an chic, elegant, and stylish addition that can be added to your wardrobe!  Check out some of the ways people have been working the wide legged pant:

ON TREND

As the weather in Davis begins to warm up, we can't seem to shake the winter wind. Everyone is dying to wear their new shorts from Forever 21, but most days it seems too chilly to pull it off. Well here is a perfect remedy for your spring wardrobe! The shorts and a blazer combo. Stars and New Yorkers alike are loving this trend right now and I foresee Davisites loving it too!

TRASHY OR SEXY?

Cosmopolitan just deemed ripped tights in their "trashy" in the trashy vs. sexy column but I beg to differ! Ripped tights (and clothing) has forever been a staple in the grungy, rock and roll look and I believe it takes an outfit to the next level.

Disagree with me? Take a peek at what Alexander Wang and Balmain have to show about that:

Raquel Allegra also came out with a line in 2008 featuring a shredded shirts and tunics!

SPRING TREND: MAXI SKIRTS A COMEBACK

Lately, I've been itching to buy more and more maxi skirts, as much as my budget permits. When I was younger, I honestly hated these long, can't-walk-straight-without-looking-like-my-knees-couldn't-part tight skirts, but now, I started to appreciate this Olson twin-esque trend, and I'm lovin it! As spring is arriving, ever so slowly, with bi-polar weather from sunny and hot to cold and windy, the maxi skirt is the way to go if your outfit permits you to wear a skirt, but it's too cold to show off those sexy limbs.

Maxi skirts can easily be paired off with platform wedge sandals, strappy gladiators, or combat boots. The look can be donned with either an oversized cropped top, form-fitting tank, long cardigan, or a jean jacket. Accessorizing accordingly with cute long necklaces, chunky bangles, and a skinny belt polishes this boho-chic look.

Textured and patterned maxi skirts give that spring vibe, while chiffon or transparent ones give that feminine, but sexy appeal. Maxi skirts may be a hit or miss with you, but it doesn't hurt to give this look a try!

Here are some of my favorite maxi skirt looks:
