The bells rang at two o’clock on a Friday afternoon, Don walked up to me. He was wearing a red v-neck shirt, khaki pants with a brown belt and Sperry Boat Shoes to match. Although his style is simple, it's a breath of fresh air in Davis. He describes his style as being clean cut, he would never dress like a bro, wear torn clothing or shop at vintage stores. Instead, he shops a Banana Republic, H&M, Forever 21, and Heritage 1981.
When in Davis, he goes to The Gap and Renew Denim, a store that sales premium denim for fewer than 99 bucks. Don also shops online when he can’t find what he needs. When asked what he thought of fashion in Davis he said, “It’s a college town, we don’t have time to get up and get ready. It’s a hassle.” Don is a pretty busy guy himself between his job, school and water polo; I could not figure out how he finds time. He then admitted that his roommate’s girlfriend comes over and picks out what he is going to wear the next day; she is the only person that he allows in his closet.
Before I let him go I had to ask one more important question:
If you know that on Monday you had to wear a uniform for the rest of your life what would be your last outfit, no limit on money? His response a tailor made suit with a Cartier watch and Nikes.
Comment below and tell me what you would wear for your last outfit?
